Coordinator Moving On This Week

We are sad to announce that Callum Hendry will be leaving White Ribbon Scotland on the 14 October 2016.

John and CallumCallum was the first staff member of the organisation back in 2009 and has been the driving force for the White Ribbon Campaign in Scotland since then. His passion and commitment to the cause and to the organisation have been exemplary and we are very grateful for his contribution and work over the years. He has established the organisation as a credible and key part of the work to end violence against women in Scotland. We warmly wish him all the best for the future.

On the back of Callum’s departure the board have decided to carry out a review of our work, approaches and priorities for the future. As a result of this we will not be immediately recruiting to replace Callum’s current post and will wait until the end of our review in the new year before we do this. Davy Thompson, the WRS Communications Officer, will be covering for Callum’s role in this period.

We have engaged some external expertise to help us with this work and would welcome any comments or views on what you think our future priorities should be. If you would like to do this then please contact Davy Thompson at .

White Ribbon Scotland Chair

Most men do not commit violence against women. But all men have a role in ending it. If we all start by making a pledge never to commit, condone or remain silent about men's violence against women in all its forms, that will make a huge difference.
